Hi Everyone ~

I went on a personal mission this summer to find swimmies/ floaties that were not made of PVC. We live near the ocean so it is necessary for my daughter to be safe in the water. Mission successful :) I found 100% cotton swimmies (Oko-Tex certified) which I now sell at my online store:

I'm just curious if a product contains a 'food safe' antimicrobial agent does that mean that it does not contain triclosan or can it still contain harmful chemicals?

I'm working towards being chemical free having replaced my usual cleaners with baking soda and vinegar. I'm leaving for Guadeloupe with hubby today but hope to have intenet access when I get there so that i can click through and read the links you shared.

We've discussed often on our blog that manufacturer's are not required to label their products with materials used. So many times you will not find that information on their website either. That's what we do here at The Soft Landing, contact manufacturers and confirm the materials used so that we can provide lists of safe options in eating gear.

If you're still unsure of our findings, you may want to contact them directly to confirm.

Are you certain the snapware glass lock lids are bpa free? I went to their website & they don't specify. All they say is that they have a silicone seal.
